Nauplia was founded in 2015 with the aim of becoming the largest network of marinas in Spain and Portugal.

Thanks to optimised management and marinas in unique locations, Nauplia Capital is now regarded as the benchmark marina network.

2015
Nauplia Capital is founded

Nauplia Capital is established as a private equity group with the primary objective of acquiring and managing marinas in Spain and Portugal.

Acquisition of Marina de Gijón

The first marina is acquired: Marina de Gijón with an 80% stake in the joint venture (UTE).

2017
Port Torredembarra

Two years later, Nauplia Capital acquires 53.4% of Port Torredembarra, S.A.

2019
Empuriaport

Empuriaport becomes part of the Nauplia Capital group with a 75% stake, as the third marina.

2020
Port Nautic Castelló

Acquisition of 100% of the Port Nautic Castelló boatyard, completing the offering.

Port Torredembarra expansion

Nauplia Capital acquires an additional 10.47% of Port Torredembarra, S.A., reaching a total stake of 63.9%.

2021
Port Segur-Calafell

Port Segur-Calafell joins the group with a 22.5% stake.

2023
Marina de Baiona

In February, 100% of Marina de Baiona, located on the Atlantic coast, is acquired.

Marina Hércules Ceuta

Marina Hércules, in Ceuta, becomes part of the Nauplia Capital group, as the seventh marina in the group.

Port Torredembarra expansion

In November, Nauplia Capital increases its stake in Port Torredembarra to 75%.

2024
Marina Port Premià

Nauplia Capital acquires Marina Port Premià, which becomes the eighth marina in the group.

2025
Marina Burriananova

In July 2025, Marina Burriananova joins the Nauplia Capital group, 100% owned by Uruk Capital.

Marina Lanzarote

Acquisition of 49.8% of Marina Lanzarote, becoming the group’s 9th marina and the first in the Canary Islands.
